Xavier Dean Schanda, of Zeigler, IL., a stillborn infant of Christine Nicole Schanda and Herman Alvin Schanda, left this earth to be with his father at 3:46 p.m., on Friday, August 31, 2018, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, IL.  Xavier was loved dearly by his loving parents, and they cherished the short time they had with him.

Xavier leaves behind his parents, Christine Nicole and Herman Alvin (McVay) Schanda of Zeigler, IL; paternal grandparents, Linda Holland and Paul Schanda; maternal grandparents, Sheila Wininger and Travis Bush; a step-grandfather, John E. Holland; one brother, Hunter Michael Throgmorton; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Xavier is preceded in death by his little brother, Louis Bert Sheppard V; a grandfather, Richard Dean McVay.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Pate Funeral Home, Benton, IL.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
